A Wanderer's Eye

Touring India with Jay was a truly amazing experience that I highly recommend to all. His enthusiastic, effervescent personality, encompassed not only the tour, but also everyone we met along our journey. His knowledge of the culture, as well as the language (Hindi), enabled us to experience India on a much deeper level than I ever anticipated.

Not once did I ever feel unsafe or apprehensive of my surroundings. A truly wonderful journey on every level, so grateful I made the decision to travel in India.

Jay’s knowledge of India; the history, the different religions and the culture becomes like a safety blanket, making you feel totally at ease and safe at all times when experiencing new things. The way he engages with the local people and encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone helped us embrace the culture, the food, the language, and the customs rather than merely becoming observers.

He is an amazing person and a fantastic guide, taking the time to get to know each individual in the group, on a personal level. He asks questions and finds out what is important to each person to ensure they get the most out of their time. This meant each of us had our own unique experience whilst still being on a group tour.

Jay’s warm, friendly and bubbly personality brings an element of fun, adventure and laughter to the group which is an added bonus. When you start your tour, Jay is your guide but he quickly becomes your friend. My time in India would not have been half as magical without Jay. I could not recommend him highly enough!

What a magical tour! Jay, you were a magnificent guide, an inspiration, and so delightful to be around.

I really could not have asked for any one more enthusiastic and committed to my growth, well being, and fun, as we travelled through India. Each day was a feast of delights shown through a lens of light and love.

Thank you Jay for supporting my leap in mind, body and soul.

Jay was thoughtful, considerate and a master of his craft. He could also cope seamlessly with any situation that confronted him included the government “Demonetization” drive (he soon got us all sorted with the new currency).

I also loved the Indian music he played on long journeys which I downloaded and have blasting throughout the house.  He is a very interesting person and I enjoyed his discussions throughout the trip.

Formerly a click and shoot photographer, I now have more knowledge about the composition of an image. I learned a lot from what Jay told me/us.

Jay is a great person to share a journey through India. He has a depth of knowledge that he loves to share and a beautiful connection to the Indian people.

I highly recommend taking a tour with Jay. Not only does he openly share his wisdom and expertise but also delves deep into assisting you on your personal journey.

A trip with Jay is no ordinary bus hopping tour but an experience you won’t forget. Thanks Jay, I loved every moment.

I have no hesitation in recommending a tour with Jay. With his street smarts, expect to go where most tourists don’t, and find gold on the back streets of India while you interact with the locals in the most beautiful ways.

Travelling with Jay I felt totally safe and by the end of the trip I walked the streets by myself, at complete ease. Jay interacts with the locals and understands them well, explains surroundings and situations with detail. I can honestly say this is the best way to see India with this amazing generous soul.

The Photography Tour was just wonderful. Jay certainly enhanced our trip on every level. He generously imparted his knowledge and feedback on our slowly developing photographic skills. After a week or so, I could see my images incorporating some of Jay’s techniques. His energy and enthusiasm were obvious. Jay looked after us extremely well. A participant became unwell towards the end of the tour and Jay’s compassion and caring were unsurpassed.

Jay’s cultural and spiritual knowledge of India brought the trip alive for us all. His fluent Hindi got us out of more scrapes than I’m sure we ever knew about. Obviously a very experienced traveler, he ushered us through airports, made sure our accommodation was comfortable, and spent time with each of us making sure all was well.

I have returned even more passionate about my own spiritual practice, more passionate about encouraging older citizens to take responsibility for their own health and to not end their time on this earth with their music still inside them.

I think I may write a book one day on how my visit to India changed my life in oh so many subtle ways! I am struggling to give you just a few. Having explored many modalities, India was the piece of the jigsaw that was missing. It is now leading me on a journey to who knows where, and it doesn’t matter where that is. I truly, truly am enjoying the journey. I guess I have finally let go of all the silly little things that we worry so much about. In the big scheme of things, love is the answer, what was the question?

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in India. Jay is a major asset, his Hindi I’m sure opened many opportunities for us. He is very knowledgeable, very helpful, and had solutions to any worries we had.

The tour has strengthened my yoga practice and helped me to understand the philosophy behind it. Also, seeing the way religion in India pervade everyday life was inspiring. The ashram was a beautiful experience and it really helped me to deepen my understanding of yoga.

I had a very special time and would recommend it to all who want a unique Indian experience.
